Installation instructions
1. Check that the fly screen fits the door
Place the fly screen against the window frame and check that the height is correct and that the sides are the same width as, or wider than, the frame. Mark where the fly screen ends.
2. Clean the door frame
Please give the door frame a thorough clean before applying the Velcro to it, using a cloth soaked in detergent, and leave it to dry completely.
3. Attach the Velcro to the door frame
Starting from the mark, remove the backing from the 4 cm strip of Velcro (male) and attach it to the window frame. Finally, attach the 2.5 cm strips of Velcro to the sides.
4. Leave the Velcro to rest
To ensure a secure hold, leave the Velcro to set for 1 hour. For rough wooden surfaces, you can use the pins provided to give extra hold. Please note: the pins will leave holes once removed.
5. Fit the fly screen
Fit the mosquito net so that the excess fabric hangs over the sides. The centre of the net should be slightly raised above the sides.
6. Press the mesh onto the Velcro
Use the pressing tool to press the mesh firmly onto the Velcro until the hooks pop out.
7. Attach the second strip of Velcro
Complete the fastening by attaching the second strip of female Velcro around the entire perimeter.
8. Cut off the excess netting at the sides
Use the scissors provided to cut off the excess netting at the sides.
9. Enjoy the end result!
